2023 Future Summer Intern Staff

EMS is staffing up with summer interns to support operations and provide excellent learning opportunities for college students. Our crews are currently involved in an invasive-species mapping and management action in the southeastern portion of Mississippi. This work includes hands-on applications of scientific data generation, remote sensing, and database management — a great opportunity to introduce our future scientists and engineers to environmental issues and the responses they require.

James "Jay" Gasquet has already been working with EMS as an intern during the summer for several years. He is currently at LSU pursuing a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
