Senior Geologist
Mr. Coney has over 30 years of experience in environmental consulting. He has extensive experience as a geologist and environmental consultant providing services for industrial, commercial, and government clients. This experience includes field activities, data analysis, project management, and senior review of remedial investigation, including work on CERCLA sites, RCRA sites, U.S. military bases, UST sites, Brownfields sites, and various commercial, agricultural, and residential properties. He has served as Senior Geologist and Project Manager for assessment and remediation of numerous Underground Storage Tank (UST) facilities, industrial plants, retail stores, and publicly owned properties. Assessment technologies included conventional drilling, direct-push, sonic drilling, and direct-read vertical profiling (LIF, MIP, etc.). Remedial technologies used have included excavation, dual-phase vacuum extraction, soil vapor extraction, surfactant flushing, ozone sparge, air sparge, and injection of chemical oxidants. UST experience also includes working with state UST Trust Funds, the federal UST Trust Fund, and private insurance companies.
